Dr. Annie Lorenzen
Veterinarian
Dr. Annie Lorenzen was raised in North Carolina and attended UNC-Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree. After spending time working with wildlife in Africa, she received her Master’s in Public Health and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Lorenzen then joined a small-animal hybrid specialty practice in Denver and focused her training and development on soft tissue surgery. She has spent the last 6 years performing laparoscopic, emergency, and other soft tissue procedures. With nearly 1,000 laparoscopic procedures performed, she remains most passionate about emergency surgeries. When Dr. Lorenzen is not scrubbed in, she enjoys spending time with her husband, young son, and two Labradors, as well as running, snowboarding, and hiking.
Alyssa Batteiger
Surgery Assistant
Alyssa is originally from Kentucky and has been in the veterinary field since 2018. She graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelors of Science in Agriculture and Veterinary Technology. While earning her degree, she worked as a kennel technician for two years. After graduation, she moved to Colorado and has been working in general practice for the last thee years. At home, Alyssa has one dog (Marlee) and three cats (Acorn, Milly, and Apricot). When she is not working, she loves to take her dog on hikes and travel to different National Parks!
